Recycle it...............

Hello there

Well this weeks challenge for Polkadoodles is to recycle something.  I admit I started to panic a bit and it was my fellow team members that reminded me that I was not to overthink this.

Well that was a relief!!!

Still it was a little bit difficult to find anything when I live with His Nibs who terms the view of 'recylcing' as the definition to put anything surplus immediately into the bins.  So I had a rummage through my bedside cabinet in the vain hope I could find inspiration.  I found this:

I have no idea what it is, where it came from or, more importantly, why I have it!!! However, I thought to myself I can use this.  I didn't want to make a card this time, so I dug out my tissue paper, rummaged through the back of a kitchen cupboard and produced a candle.

I wanted to use an image off of the Work & Play: Festive Hollibobs which you can get as a CD-Rom and as digi download collection.  I printed off 'Presents' which is already coloured onto tissue paper.  If you want you can get 'Presents' as a digi image or as a rubber stamp.  I printed 'Presents' onto the tissue paper, cut round the image, laid it onto the candle. I wrapped some greaseproof paper over the top and heated the image with my heat gun.

I wrapped my recycled item round the candle and laid some red satin ribbon over it.  I used Spellbinders Poinsettia die to add as an embellishment. I sprayed it with spray and sparkle to give some bling.

So there you have it. My recycled project, I know it isn't as awesome as my fellow teamies, but I was quite happy with how it turned out.  I hope that you like it.

Now don't forget to visit the main challenge blog and see the rest of the teams inspiration, we love when you join in the fun with us!

see you soon
