Hello everyone
It is Digi Choosday day and we love Tuesdays!! Well folks, I loved loved loved this challenge, you may not have noticed (she chuckles) but I adore pretty and I tend to always end up doing pretty when I can get away with it.............and what is the quintessential requirement for pretty?? Lace of course!!
Now you may look at the card and say to yourself, 'but she's only used one piece of lace', yes I have. BUT lace is the embellishment that compliments and adds the finishing touch to pretty. Trust me.
Now as you all know, Nikky Hall has many many images that are all lovely and girly and I love them all, but I wanted a glamorous image and you can't get more glamorous than Fredericka Debutante - you can get her in the Polkadoodles store here, or in the Etsy Shop.
I coloured Fredericka with my Graph'It Markers.
The colours I used are as follows:
Skin: 4120, 4155, 4170 - cheeks 4145 & 4135, lips 4175, eyes 7130
Hair: 1250, 3110, 3140 & 3160
Dress: 9100, 9102, 9103, 9104
Glass: 1180 with gold glitter pen over the top
Envelope: 7105, 7110
The gold glitter pen is from Graph'It and you can get it here.
I cut Fredericka out with Spellbinders Mystical Embrace large die and I used the smallest die for the sentiment.
I edged round Fredericka whilst she was still in the die which allowed me to accent the die cut also. I did the same with the sentiment both are with Pan Pastel Ultramarine Tint, which you can get here. The beautiful backing paper and the sentiment are both from the 'Rose Budd Collection' which you can get as a CD-Rom or as a digi download collection.
Because it's me and I got to do pretty, there is no pretty without flowers!
The lace is from my stash and I think it compliments the papers and the image beautifully. I hope you agree!
I finished off the whole card with the Haydon Corner Die from Tattered Lace and some pearls from my stash.
So there you have it, I hope you like it. Now don't forget to go visit the main challenge blog and see the rest of the Design Teams projects, there really is a lot of inspiration for you this week, we love to see your entries so get your thinking caps on and get those entries in.
See you soon
Hugs
