Fairy Flower for You............

This week I am playing with 'Fairy Flower For You' from Tiddly Ink Stamps and you can see her here. There are two versions of this image and you get both, with dog and without. I chose to colour without dog today.

If you popped past last week, you will see I am not very good at colouring ponytails and I haven't improved in the week!

I used the following Copic markers
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E31
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E55
Dress: RV09, RV17, RV19, RV25
Flowers: V000, V04, V09

I used papers from my stash, added some ribbon and some paper flowers. I also added a chipboard embellishment from Make It Crafty, which you can get here

I hope you like her, I think it is just such a sweet image.

Thanks for popping past!

Thankful Heart............

I had a wee play with Wryn Thankful Heart which you can get from the Tiddly Inks Stamp Store, here.

She is so sweet, unfortunately I struggle colouring ponytails so please forgive my attempt!

I made a 7x7 card with papers from my stash, added some ribbon and a chipboard embellishment from Make It Crafty you can see the range, here.  I finished the card off with some paper flowers.

I coloured Wryn with copic markers
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E31
Hair: E15, E18, E29
Dress: B06, B16, B18
Flowers: RV09, RV17, RV19, YR14, YR18

I hope you like her and I have to apologise for the quality of the photos, winter in the North East of Scotland isn't the best lighting conditions!

Thank you for popping past.

It's the best time of the week - DIGI CHOOSDAY CHALLENGE DAY - whoooooooo! Which means a new challenge week and a NEW DISCOUNT CODE to get money off your digi purchases - how cool is that!?

Remember the easiest way to keep up with all things POLKADOODLES is sign up to the newsletter which you can do here.

As always our theme for the challenges for you is 'Anything Goes' but the design team have a theme to follow.  This weeks challenge for the design team is to recycle or upcycle.

I'm not going to lie nothing gets to stay in my house long enough for the chance for me to recycle and I didn't know what upcycle meant! So I googled upcycle and the result is this:

'reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.'

Result! I can totally make something better than the original...........can't I?  So about three hours later of rummaging through the house to find something I could 'make better' I found a large basic candle I had found in the back of my electrical appliances cupboard (don't ask).

I then remembered somewhere in the abyss of my craft cupboard, I had tissue paper I bought like four years ago for the sole purpose of making personal candles, so that took another few minutes (hours) to find THAT.  Then I needed to find an image.

Hmmmmmm - you're me, you have the whole Polkadoodles library at your fingertips, what image do you use? Yip, you guessed it, I was all over 'Serenity'. I cannot help it, I LOVE her! You can find the collection here.  I used the precolured image of 'Serenity Joyful' which is a precolured image on the main collection but if you want to colour her yourself, you can find her as an individual stamp here.

My tissue paper is A5 in size. I taped it to the center of simple A4 copy paper, then printed it. My printer smeared a little as I had added a sentiment, so after repeated attempts to make this not happen, I simply cut the sentiment off. Life's too short after!

Once you remove the tissue paper from the copy paper, I cut round the image to make it more manageable.

I positioned the image where I wanted it then I wrapped the whole candle in greaseproof paper. I then used my heat gun to merge the image with the candle. Be CAREFUL - this can get very hot and I advise you not to touch the candle immediately because it can burn!

So there you have it. A plain boring candle which is now a pretty candle! Totally nailed upcycling (giggles to myself).

Anyhow, go over to the main blog and see what amazing projects the design team have come up with.

See you soon!

Pancake Oopsy................

Back again today with another share of a card made using Polkadoodles Lil Miss Sugapops 'Pancake Oopsy' - which you can find here as a precoloured image or here as a black and white digi.

I opted to colour this image with my copic markers and made an easel card.

I cut the easel card out on my Silhouette Portrait.  The papers are from Winnie Celebration Kit 2 - which you can find here.

The sentiment is from the sentiment range that is available to buy alongside 'Oopsy' which you can get here.

I coloured 'Oopsy' with my copic markers.

I used the following markers
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E31
Hair: E21, E23, E25, E27
Purples: RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99

I think I would have the same success as 'Oopsy' if I tried to flip a pancake!

Thanks for popping past!

Pancake Heaven..................

I'm here to share one of the NEW releases from Polkadoodles with you. Nikky is getting us in the mood for Pancake Day, which is February 13th.

I have had a play with 'Pancake Heaven' - I just made a quick and simple card using the precoloured image - which you can find here or you can buy the black and white digi image to colour yourself, which can be found here.

I made a 7x7 card, the two images come with a fabulous range of sentiments and these can be found here.

The background paper is from Winnie Celebration Kit 2 - which you can see here

Thanks for popping by!

Sweet Dreams Wryn...................

Sharing a card I made today using 'Sweet Dreams Wryn' which you can find in the Tiddly Inks Stamps store here.

The digi image comes with extra images and paper, but today I am just using Wryn.

I made a simple 7x7 card using papers from my stash and some matching ribbon, I added wee tiny flowers for extra embellishment.

I coloured Wryn with my copic markers

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, E31
Hair: E51, E53, E55, E57
Nightclothes: BV000, BV01, BV02, BV04, C03, C01, C00

This image is soooo me (minus the hat and bunny slippers) - my heads always in a book so I was in love with this digi stamp immediately, however, like most of my digi stamps, it took a while before I got round to colouring it.

I hope you agree it was worth waiting!

Thanks for popping past.

Wryn Pick Up Sticks.............

I have been colouring my fav little image again, this time I have used 'Pick Up Sticks' which you can find here. Of course there are a whole load of images to choose from at Tiddly Inks Stamps so go browse, become an addict like me :)

This image comes with extra sentiments and images but for today, I am focusing on the main image.

I made a 7x7 card, added some papers from my stash and focused on Wryn being the main focus. A nice piece of ribbon and a wee flower completes the card.

I coloured Wryn with copic markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, E31
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E55
Pink: RV04, RV17, RV19
Blues: B91, B93, B95
Sticks: E15, E18, E29

I actually had picked different papers for this card, but was making a batch and picked up the wrong ones, however, I think she worked out perfectly.....I appreciate I am biased :)

Thanks for popping past!
