Ducky Dance....................

Popping in today to share a Tiddly Inks Stamps card using Wryn Ducky Dance which you can get straight to by clicking on Ducky Dance.

Isn't she just the absolute cutest? I can honestly sit and colour Wryn all day!

I made a 7x7 card using papers I had in my stash back when Lili of the Valley carried paper pads. All I added was a simple piece of ribbon and a sentiment.

The sentiment is using Make It Crafty chipboard embellishments which you can see the range here. I really love these, I think they really add to the card.

I coloured Wryn using my Copic Markers:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E31
Hair:  E30, E31, E33, E35
Red: R24, R27, R39
Blues: B91. B93, B95
Ducks: C00, C01, C03, C05 blender YR07, YR14, YR18

I really do love how this one turned out and I made this with the intention of having a stash of cards ready to post when I need them, but I may keep this one.................

Thank you for popping past and I hope you like my card.

GDT Spot at Through The Craft Room Door.................

This week I have been delighted to be a guest design team member at Through The Craft Room Door, they post a challenge every week and have an amazing team.

The challenge blog is sponsored every week and this week the challenge sponsor is Patties Creations, you can see her work here.

I had the pleasure of using 'Strawberries in the Basket' - which you can get here.

I made a 6x6 card and coloured the image with my Copic Markers.

I used the following markers:

Strawberries:  R05, R08, R27, R39, G03, G05, G09
Basket: E23, E25, E27, E29

I used a Spellbinders edge die to create the detailed edge and then simply placed some red gingham paper behind my white card. I added a chipboard sentiment from Make It Crafty for an embellishment.

I hope you like this and I would like to thank Through The Craft Room Door for giving me the opportunity to guest with them this week.

See you soon

Happy New Year - belated............

I coloured a gorgeous little Tiddly Inks Image on December 31st. I didn't have time to make her into a card at the time, so I have turned that around now and put her onto a card.

I of course am talking about 'Patriotic Wryn' which you can see here.

Look how cute this little girl is, I LOVE Wryn, she just makes me smile and is one of the few digi characters, where I just want to sit and colour her all day.

I made a simple 7x7 card with papers from Nitwit Collection. I added a wee bit of ribbon and a pretty paper flower for an embellishment.

I bought a lot of chip words from Zoe at Make It Crafty before Christmas, you can see the range here, I was desperate to get some of the Christmas greetings in chipboard.

As I am in the UK I did buy lots as I thought I may as well pay the VAT now in one go rather than in drips and drabs, so that is something to think about if you are outwith Australia and you want to get your hands on these.

I love these chipboard sentiments, you get a solid piece and then a lovely delicate script which sits on top. I only colour the script to make it stand out more. I like to use two pens to give some differentiation. The perfect thing about these sentiments is they are so lightweight, there is minimal weight added to your card - which is good to know if you are posting.

I take such terrible photos I don't think you can see the different pens BUT hopefully you can see how awesome these chipboard sentiments are!

Now you may wonder why I used 'Smile' when I could have or should have used 'celebrate' or 'hooray' etc. Well even though I have both these additional sentiments, I decided I wanted to go with 'Smile' because a new year means a new start and new possibilities so why shouldn't we smile?

Now my sweet cute gorgeous little Wryn is coloured with Copic Markers:

I used the following markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E31, R20
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Dress & Shoes: BV01, BV02, BV04, BV09

I wrote 2018 in pencil so I can adjust it if I wanted to. To be fair, now that it is 14 days after New Year I think I might and can always keep it for a congratulations card, or well done etc

This post went on for ages - sorry!

I hope you like her as much as I do!

Thanks for popping by, hope to see you soon.

Love is in the air....................

Hello there!

Happy New Year to you and welcome back to Digi Choosday Challenge! Now you may have noticed that the main challenge blog has now split into TWO teams, yes two teams and I am on Team B.......we save the best for last don't you know ;)

This means though that although there is a challenge every week as  normal, with the theme of 'Anything Goes' - I'll only be popping up every second week. I'm sure you will all cope though because this means with two teams, you have DOUBLE the inspiration to keep your crafty mojo flowing.  So that most definitely cannot be a bad thing can it!?

AND while you're reading this, DO NOT FORGET to go back to that main blog GRAB you're perfectly delicious DISCOUNT CODE to get money off your digi purchases - this code only lasts until midnight on TUESDAY 9TH JANUARY, so be quick and SHOP SHOP SHOP!

I'm feeling that I may be throwing information at you - SO - the easiest way to keep up with all things POLKADOODLES is sign up to the newsletter which you can do here.

Ok - I think I have given you all enough to think about so let's get on to the reason you are here and that is this weeks challenge for Digi Choosday Challenge!

Although every week is 'Anything Goes' for our challenge entrants, the Design Teams are always given a theme to follow and Team B were given the theme of 'Get Romantic' - awwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I immediately sprang to my 'Lily Bug Love' Collection which you can see here. On the link I just gave is the overview of all the elements and selections of what is on offer, you can buy the CD-Rom, download the whole digi kit or just buy separate images, paper bundles or elements. SO much choice and that is one of the wonderful things about Polkadoodles, is the ability to pick and choose what you actually want and are likely to use.

I made a 7x7 card and everything I have used, with the exception of the ribbon, is from the main kit. I used the precoloured image of 'Lily Bug Love Big Heart' which is available as a black and white digi here. I actually used a precoloured topper from the main collection, but you can buy the smaller bundle of toppers and elements here and then I resized one of the precoloured Lily Bug characters and layered her on top, to give dimension.

I hope you can make out my wee Lily Bug is just slightly raised off the topper to give her some dimension.

I used papers from the collection, the matt (black and white check paper) is from Paper Bundle 3 and the cute love heart paper is from Paper Bundle 2 - but remember ALL elements are on the big bundle kit.

The sentiment and word art are also available individually in a bundle here, or as part of the main kit.

Look at her sitting there all cute and loveable. Such a super cute collection!

So there you have it. My 'Get Romantic' card using the adorable Lily Bug Love Collection.

Now remember you need to go back to the main blog, to see the teams inspiration and to GRAB that discount code.

See you soon!

This is the final week of Digi Choosday for this year and I guess it is fitting that the Design Team where asked to think of the theme 'Thanks' - so I would like to say 'Thank You' to all of you lovely followers who enter the challenge every week and allow me to continue to play!

Thank you also to all my teamies in the Digi Choosday design team - you girls truly rock and every week you make my jaw drop with your creativity. Also thank you to Scatty Jan, the woman is a superstar doing a truly superhuman job in admin of the design team (there are some naughty ones in there you know!) and of course lastly, thank you to Nikky for having all these images and creations in her brain and sharing them with us, we are truly blessed to be on the DT.

Right, well - that's probably enough of that before it all gets a bit dusty in here....................

So - for my 'Thanks' card I went back to Winnie, good ol' Winnie and this week I was perusing the wonderful 'Winnie Fruit Punch' which you can browse following this link here. I opted to use 'Make a List' - which you can get the single B&W digi stamp here.

I have to stop taking pictures with the flash on - all I can see is the blinding white but in the North East of Scotland in Winter, there is no such thing as daylight!!! Lol

Hopefully that one above is better?

As you can see I made a 7x7 card using papers from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles - which is available as Paper Heaven 1.  The word art 'Thanks' and the flowers are also from Sugar Sprinkles and are here and here respectively.

I coloured Winnie with my Copic Markers and these are as follows:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E31, R20
Hair: N3, N5, N6, N8
Dress: R81, R83, R85, R89
Pencil and Book: G40, G43

(PS this is no flash - Winnie has been spray tanned!!!)

I think this image was perfect for the theme - if you're like me - there is a list of people to thank! Of course, you could use this image to make cards to thank people for the Christmas presents...................just saying ;)

Now if you came over from the main blog, I hope you remembered to grab that DISCOUNT CODE and stock up on goodies, if you didn't then hope over to the blog, grab the code and see what my fellow teamies made this week!

Once again thanks for being here and sticking with me - hopefully I'll see you all in the NEW YEAR!

Have an utterly fabulous fun filled festive season and all the very best for 2018!

Merry Christmas!

Winter Colours................

It is time for a new Digi Choosday Challenge this week and I am playing with Winnie White Christmas today.

This week the design team were asked to make Christmas projects with winter colours, so I thought I would use the precoloured image Watch Your Step, which is available on the main collection but if you want the b&w digi, it can be found here.

I opted for the traditional red and green in my colour tones, but went for pale blues in the image. I used a precoloured image and then added some extra depth with my copic markers on the hat and clothes - just to make her pop.

The papers are from the main collection.  I made a 7x7 card but the frames are from Polkadoodles and can be found here.

Remember to pop to the main blog to grab that Digi Choosday Discount code, it' only available to midnight! Whilst you are there check out the fab projects from the rest of the team.

See you soon!
