Week 8.........Inserts and Envelopes

Hi there!

Well here I am, Week 8 of the Digi Choosday Crafting Challenge and this week we were to use Inserts and envelopes in our main project. Well I usually use an insert as an...........................insert, so yet again, I had to step out of the comfort zone and have a think! It was surprisingly easy actually, I used Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Collection which is available as a download from the Polkadoodles store.

I chose this insert as I could see elements that I could decoupage. Yes, I was off to make friends with the scissors again! I printed the insert onto a lightweight cardstock and then cut it down to fit an A5 card. I matted it onto a glossy black cardstock. The remainder of the A4 sheet, I cut round the top handbag border. Yes, I did this all by myself, Whoo hoo!!! :-) Feeling bold I also cut out a single white flower for the bottom of the card.

I chose two of the digi stamps within the collection to add as elements to the card, I thought these complimented the insert rather than take the look away from it. I coloured them with my Graph'It Markers. Now I know what you are thinking, did she cut the dress and the mannequin out herself, nope I did not! Well I did half the mannequin and then got it taken off me............I think he is beginning to like this crafty stuff :)

The markers I used are as follows:

Mannequin: 1210, 1230, 1270
Dress: 5110, 5120, 5130 & 5255
Flowers: 5210, 5255, 8260 & 8160.

I had glittered the bottom of the dress, the white flower at the bottom of the card (I cut this one out to layer onto the backing paper) and I also glittered the sentiment WISH. You cannot see it very well in this picture but it turned out well, I think!

I wanted to include the envelope part of the challenge, so I printed out a mini envelope to match the insert paper. I put 'List' on the front of the envelope so it reads; Wish List. I'm not sure if that is obvious or not, let me know what you think!

Some velvet ribbon, a pink dazzler and some gems and the card was finished.

As always, thanks for popping by and I hope you like what I created for this weeks challenge.

Hugs
