Add Some Lace.....................

Hi there

It's Tuesday which means it is a new Digi Choosday Challenge Day! I love new challenge week and this week is no exception with the challenge theme this time being 'Add Some Lace'.  Now we have a certain Design Team lady who runs and hides from lace, although I think we may have convinced her that she is being silly and that lace is almost, if not on a par, with ribbon!

You simply cannot do shabby chic or vintage without adding lace, but I think we are all guilty of thinking it is only for those themes that we get the lace out for. I am hoping that my take on lace for this weeks challenge is acceptable to those die hard lace addicts!

I opted to use Amelia Contemplating for this weeks challenge. Such a sweet image and ok, maybe a little bit of a vintage feel with her lace collar. But just little.

I made a 7x7 card (shocking change from me there), and I layered two papers from the gorgeous Rose Budd Collection onto plain vanilla mat.

I coloured Amelia with my Graph'It Markers and I used the following colours:

 Skin:  4125, 4150, 3120, 4155, 4145, 4135
Hair: 1250, 3110, 3125, 3150
Dress:  1210, 1230, 1270, 9501, 9502
Shoe:  9503, 9504

The thing about the papers from the Rose Budd papers is that some of them are so detailed, you don't need to go over the top with other embellies to 'fill' the card. So I opted to add my lace - brown flower lace, so pretty - and then simply added one wooden embellishment.  It's almost a CAS card - but I love that the image and the paper are doing the work here.

I hope you noticed my new watermark, my team mate Nikki designed it for me and I love it, if you want to see a range of Nikki's work I have her badge on my side bar.

Remember to join in the Digi Choosday fun with us, you don't need to use a Polkadoodles product as long as you stick to the challenge theme, if you're needing more inspiration, pop over to the main challenge blog and see what else the amazing design team have made for you, there are some proper WOWSERS this week!

Don't forget to come back and see me soon, you still have the chance to win the 'Love & Kisses' Digi Collection on last Tuesday's post so if you haven't been there and left a comment yet, off you go!

hugs

Yvonne x
