Bats in the Belfry............

Hello there!

Well for those of you have been here earlier in the week you will have seen my very first Halloween card, where I made the background from Distress Inks - well for this weeks Graph'It Marker Challenge we were asked to make our own backgrounds. Now I had a lot of fun making the Halloween card so I thought to myself, I bet my Graph'It Markers could make the background just as well as Distress Ink Pads. So I set out to give it a go.

The fantabulous Spooky House is from Polkadoodles as are Dracula and the Mummy. Of course everything is coloured with my Graph'It Markers, you can view the range here.

I used the following markers for the background:
 Sky:  2105, 2110, 2120, 2140, 2160, 2150, 2180
Grass:  8280, 8270, 9504

I coloured Dracula using the folloing markers: 4125, 4155, 4170, 6140, 6175, 6185, 9505, 9507, 9508, 9509, 9905, 9099

I coloured the Mummy with: 9500, 9502 & lots of blender.
The pumpkins are: 2110, 2150, 2180 and for the non glittered one (above) 1150 & 2150 (which are also the windows of the house).

The Bats, the tips of the railings, some curves of the house and eyes and mouths of the Pumpkins have been glittered with Diamond Sparkles Midnight Rainbow Glitter. I love it.

I wanted to leave the tips of the railing unattached so they curved towards Dracula and the Mummy. I am not sure if that came across or not?

This is the card I am giving my 4 year old niece for Halloween (obviously, it's not like I would give this to her at Christmas!!!) and I am sure Nikky had a more sophisticated background in mind when setting this challenge, but I think my niece will LOVE this for Halloween!! I hope you do too.

Now don't forget to go to the main challenge blog  to see what the design team have been up to, there are some really beautiful takes on the 'Background' theme and don't forget to join in the fun with us!

That's all from me for just now, see you soon!

hugs
