I'm In The Pink..........................

Hi there!!

It's Choooosday! Yip, that's right, it is Digi Choosday again and this weeks theme is 'In the Pink'. I lurve pink, you may be able to tell from the majority of my cards, so this weeks theme was excellent for me. I decided to spice it up (in the lowest term of the word) by throwing some purple in to the mix as well.

This week I used the digi bundle 'Nikky', which you can get from the Digiworld downloadables Store - this bundle was one of 5 that were released to celebrate five fantastic years of Polkadoodles, I urge you to look at the other bundles, great bundles, fab price!

I coloured my image with Graph'It Markers, and this week I decided to slightly edge out of my comfort zone and try the fab dotty background I have seen other people use. I used a combo of three markers and then I swept my blender over all of it, I quite liked it, but then I decided I would take a step further and added in a pink marker too. I kinda like it, I know it could be tons better, but that comes with practice and as I said, I liked it, so decided to keep it.

Fantastically, I just realised that the pic above does not include the pink marker, you can see it in the final card.  The markers I have used are as follows:

Skin:  4115, 4155, 4170, 4145
Hair:  1270, 3110, 3140, 3160
Clothes & Boots:  4135, 4175, 6130, 6140
Background:  9102, 7105, 9502, 5110 & blender

I made an 8x8 card, and decided on a simple layout, showcasing the backing papers, which, as always with Nikky, are lush! I used the 'Bloomsbury' Tattered Lace die to cut my image out, I also used the matching border die. I also used Lacy Rose die and Venetian Floral, both from Tattered Lace. The heart banner is a die from Joanna Sheen.

I addition to the dottiness, I softened the white of the card with a pink tone pan pastel.  So there you have it, my take on Nikky and the theme of 'In the Pink'. I hope you like it!

Now don't forget to pop past the main challenge blog and see the rest of the inspiration from the Design Team and then join in the fun yourselves!!

See you soon!

Hugs
