Better late than never.......

Well I said I would post the card the next day after I posted the Saturated Canary image of Nikki...................as you will have guessed, I didn't! Sorry about that. To be honest, I was so impressed with the colouring that I was scared to use her as a topper, isn't that the saddest thing? :) However, I got over it and a card she has become. I hope you like it!

Now I have posted the Spectrum Noir pens I have used to colour in the earlier post, but for the card details, I used an 8x8 card blank. I had a pack of 12x12 Christmas papers that I used as the base, then I layered a solid colour of red that I have from American Crafts Valentines pack. For the fawn card, I used my stash of Hunkydory cardstock. The flowers are premade and bought with exception of the top right hand corner which I made with Crafters Companion small rose quilling die. I cut two strips, glued them together and then quilled into a flower shape. I added a pearl for a central embellishment.

A little bit of lace and more pearls for corner embellishments, voila!  Card done. I don't think that the embellishments have taken anything away from the image itself and I hope that you agree with me.
