Welcome!!!!!

Hello there everyone!

Very very VERY exciting news for you today, this is the FIRST blog post for the NEW pencil team for Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour Pencils and YES I am on the Design Team! I was SO super excited when I was told I was going to be on this team bringing these fantastic pencils to you! I have had tons and tons of fun experimenting with these pencils. We're called The Pencil Cases and you can visit us here!

Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils are available from Jacksons and other good Art & Craft stores across the UK.

Today is our very first challenge and we thought we would start off with a good challenge and that's 'Anything Goes'!

For this challenge we are very kindly sponsored by the fantabulous Nikky Hall and Polkadoodles.

I am an avid stalking mental person fan of all things Polkadoodles and if you have visited me before, you'll know I have a true obsession with the gorgeous Serenity Collection, which is available as a Digi Download or as a CD-Rom. For my very first project I used 'Joyful' which you can get here as a single digi stamp.

I wanted to show you a kind of stage by stage colouring of the image so you can see the fabulushness of the pencils. If you are a polychromo user you'll love these pencils as they have the fabulous vibrancy, keep a good point, sharpen like a dream and are just slightly creamier than the polychromos which lend to fabulous blending quality.

So here is the image after i have finished hair and skin: I am currently using Daler Rowney Fine Cartridge paper for colouring, so it's not white white but an excellent texture is achieved.

I went for two tone hair as I can't help it, I adore the blue/black hair.

Can you see what I mean about the creamy texture? But it doesn't smudge or go waxy, it just looks lovely and lush!

I made a shaped card using one a backing paper from Michele R Designs.

I went die happy and used Tattered Lace dies, Spellbinders and even Joanna Sheen! Then of course she needed some gorgeous flowers.

I used the following pencils to colour:
Skin: 32, 89, 92
Hair: Black, 97, 41, 43, 96, white
Top & Flowers: 29, 28, 09
Skirt: 46, 43, 41
Butterfly's: 43, 41

What do you think? You interested in tying them out! Well hop on over to the main blog and see what you can win when you join in the fun with us and enter the challenge!

Thanks so much for popping past!

Hugs
