Light source..................................

Hi there

Well here I am again this week, this time with my Challenge card for Graph'It Marker Challenge blog.  This challenge is 'Light Source' which turned me into a shivering jelly!! I wasn't sure if 'light source' meant an actual light source or the way the light falls on an image, or both!? So when in doubt - opt for both! So that's what I did.

I trawled through my immense digi stamp and rubber stamp collection, searching for a light source; the idea of trying to replicate the sun made me feel faint, so that was immediately off the cards! I eventually decided on a Saturated Canary image 'Books & Bedhead', solely for the purpose because Krista has drawn in a lightbulb. Talk about a tenuous link!

Of course, I have used my Graph'It Markers to colour, you can browse the range here.

The markers I have used are as follows:

Skin:  4120, 4155, 4150, 3210
Hair:  1250, 3110, 3140, 3160
Nightdress:  9103, 9104, 9105, 9106
Bedspread:  5110, 5120, 5210
Cushion:  9500, 9502, 9503, 5210, 5220, 5245
Lightbulb:  1110, 1180 & blender

I made a 7x7 card and used some hunkydory Adorable Scorable for the mat. I picked papers out of the Lil Of The Valleys paper pad Pastel Dreams, I love this paper pad. Everything is so fresh looking.

I simply mat and layered with the papers, added ribbon and some flowers and she is done.  I have absolutely no idea what that mark is, that is on the card above the flowers, it's not on the actual card - must be a shadow!

I really hope you can see where the light falls and where the shadows are, I wish her hair had come out better but alas, I can't have everything................................unfortunately!

So there you have it, remember to pop past the main challenge blog and see the rest of the inspiration from the design team - my fellow DT members really hit a home run with their creations. Awesome!

Remember we love it when you join in too and you don't have to have Graph'It's to enter!! Come along and join the fun!

See you soon
