Christmas in blues and purples....................

Hi there!

It's Digi Choosday time and this week we have a christmas theme for the challenge but not just normal traditional Christmas, we are twisting it into christmas in blues and purples.

I have to say I am a great fan of the old fashioned traditional Christmas colours and nine out of ten times I stick to these colours like glue (bad crafty pun)..........but I LOVED this weeks challenge!! Blues and purples totally rock as christmas colours. I loved how this turned out.

Of course I have used the fantastic Work & Play Festive Hollybobs which is available as a CDRom, a digi download (click here) AND hold the front door my lovelies - you can also get the characters from the collection as STAMPS, yes my peeps, click here for the link to take you direct to 'Skating Fun' in good ol' rubber! :)

I coloured this fun image with my Graph'It Markers (click here to investigate the range of delectable markers), colours used are as follows:

Skin:  4120, 4155, 4150, 4155, 3210
Hair:  1250, 3110, 3140, 3160
Dress:  9100, 9102, 9103, 9104
Scarf & Earmuffs:  6130, 6140, 6170 - I also used the Graph'It white shaker pen for the spots on the scarf
Skates:  9500, 9502, 9503 & blender
Holly:  8250, 8270, 8280, 5210, 5220, 5280

Isn't she a cutie? I love her.

For the 7x7 card, the papers are from W&P Festive Hollybobs too and I then had a little play with some Tattered Lace dies. I cut my little skater out with the 'Westminster' die from Tattered Lace and softened the edges with Pan Pastel 'Ultramarine Tint', you can view the range of Pan Pastels here.

I also used one of the festive greetings from Tattered Lace because I thought the swirly script looked like the swirls you get once you've skated on the ice...............you with me? Am I talking gibberish? Let's move on swiftly................and finally the snowflakes are from Tattered Lace too. I coloured over all of them with pan pastels to tone them down. I actually wanted to glitter glitter glitter but His Nibs was in and the flat is a glitter free zone when His Nibs is in residence. Trust me, It just so isn't worth it!!! Lol!!! :)

So there you have it, christmas in blues and purples, honest you have to give it a go - it was way too much fun. Now remember to pop on over to the main challenge blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the design team..............trust me.................awesome!!!

Ok folks, I'm off for now, remember I am back on Friday (sorry) for another challenge, would love it if you want to pop back and maybe leave a little love. :)

Catch you later 'gators!

Hugs

Yvonne x
