Happy Birthday........!

My sisters birthday was yesterday (Happy Birthday to her) and I made this matching card and tag for her.

I used a Tiddly Inks Digi Image using 'Eat More Cake' which you can see here. I love this image and when you buy it you get the sentiments, the image and the cupcake all separate, great value for money.

I used paper from Nitwit Collections and can you see how vibrant it is on the card and not on the tag? That's because I printed it through different programmes, the card I just pressed print when it opened, but for the tag, I opened it on my silhouette as part of the tag design and it printed out a lot lighter. Interesting.

I designed the card and matching tag on my silhouette - I have seen a lot of cards recently with this lovely wavy border and it took me a loooooong time to get it on the silhouette (as it seems what I had been seeing was using a die instead), but I think I cracked it, the faux stitch effect doesn't show well in my photos - sorry.

For this design to have been achieved, I need to thank my good friend Jan who listened to me talk my way into how to do it. Patience of a saint that woman has! Thank you Jan x

I made a 7x7 card and designed everything on the silhouette so once it printed and cut the design I only needed to mat onto the paper base and colour. I only added a die cut 'Happy Birthday' using a die from Tattered Lace and added that to the front of the card.

I coloured Wrynn with my copic markers

I used the following markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04

Hair: E51, E53, E55

Dress: RV21, RV23, RV25

Cupcake: YR21, YR23, YR25, YR27, COO, C01, C2, C3

Flowers: Y00, Y04, Y08

I also made the matching tag for her parcel, with the colours for the large cupcake being the same as the colours stated above.

I LOVE how they both turned out. They took so long to get right on the silhouette but they were worth the effort.
