Well I am here today as a guest design team member for the Inky Pinkies Colouring Group - it is VERY exciting and I am so honoured to be allowed to share my colouring with you all!
For my make today I had a wee play and an experiment and quite frankly for a GDT spot, I shouldn't have been playing or experimenting BUT I had soooooo much fun, I know the ladies won't mind :) Well, I hope they don't!
I used Oddella Twig from the Ickyinks Collection by Polkadoodles. You can see the full range of Oddella images here.
For this make, I did something I never ever do. I decided to pick papers first. Now, I have a HUGE amount of papers, in fact it is quite embarrassing how many I have and even more so, because I won't use the majority of them as they are so so so SO pretty!
So nothing changes even for GDT spots, as I ended up opting for digi papers! I used 'Designer Grunge' by Michele R Designs, you can see the papers I used here.
I coloured Oddella with pencils (WATCH THIS SPACE) on some cartridge paper.
The reason I went for the red and blue is all about the papers I chose. I loved the cluster of poppy's at the corners and printed the papers out twice and then fussy cut the flowers. I wanted them to encroach onto the figure.
I chose to distress the papers and even Oddella's edges to give it the more vintage look. Can you see how the flowers overlay? I thought it was GREAT! ha ha ha ha - you can disagree with me of course!
Given that the flowers are such a focus, I added a paper doily, some corners and a lace flower. Some burlap and a wooden heart finishes off.
So there you have her, I hope you like it :)
See you soon!
Hugs
Yvonne
