Anything Goes.................

Hi!

This weeks Digi Choosday Challenge theme, is my favourite theme, Anything Goes! Yes the design team get to cut loose just like you this week and make whatever we want.

The only bad thing about this challenge is there are SO many delightful things to play with when it comes to Polkadoodles, that I wasn't sure what to use and what to make.

Then I thought about how much delightful fun I had recently colouring up the Little Dudes Collection and I decided to make a card using them.

I opted to make a simple 7x7 card, but with three of my favourtie characters from the collection. I used 'Skateboard', 'Cool Dude' and 'Footie Dude'.  You can get them available as part of the bundle, individually as precoloured digis or as black and white digis.

Each BLACK AND WHITE individual digi comes with sentiments and papers, the preoloured digis do not come as a bundle. Explore all your options here.

I used two papers that come with the bundles, these papers are in the main collection, or you can get with 'Just Hanging' Little dude black and white bundle.

I coloured the dudes with my copic markers.

I genuinely cannot remember all the copic markers I used, I should have written them down. Sorry.

The sentiment is available with the B&W digi bundle you get with Skateboard.  I printed it out on a square bit of white card, then I ran over the back with BG000 and G000 for the sky and grass. I appreciate that they haven't photographed well.

Overall I was really happy with how this turned out.

Now although our challenges are always Anything Goes - the design team are set challenges each week and this week we are thinking about shaped cards.

For this card I made a shaped card from Polkadoodles, cut on my Silhouette. The cutting file is 'Elegant Card 4' cutting file for the shape, which you can find here. I cut the card template and the paper out on my Silhouette. The paper is from 'Helga Collection' which you can see here.

For the image I coloured 'Winnie Sugar Sprinkles - Healthy Eating' which you can see as a B&W digi here. I haven't coloured her before and I was happy with how she turned out.

I coloured her with my copic markers.

Skin: E50, E00, E21, E11, E70
Hair: YR18, E08, E19, E09, E18
Red: R22, R14, R05

I think she is kinda cute. I was quite happy with how she turned out.

Use something not for it's purpose.............

Hello!

Welcome to another challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge! The theme for the challenges for our entrants is always 'Anything Goes' but the design team like a challenge and this week we have been set the challenge of 'use something not for it's purpose'.

Well I am on a team of very very talented ladies and they could take a twig and make it fabulous. I am not talented or creative, in fact the idea of trying to be creative makes me want to lie down in a dark room.

So you can imagine for this challenge - I needed to think long and hard. Use something not for it's purpose???? Oh my goodness, I could not think of ANYTHING!

Then in a moment of reaching for a biscuit to make myself think better (you know it works) - I spotted some cocktail sticks. I thought, oooooh could I use them, so be prepared to be underwhelmed at my challenge for this week! lol!

Can you see them?  Yes, I made my own quilled flowers using cocktail sticks! I know, I have stunned you into silence with my genius............

I have to put proof in for you to believe me. ;) I rolled the paper with the cocktail sticks, double use, efficiency at it's best!

Close up of my genius :)

I used the delightful Scruff from the FuzzyPuffs Collection, which you can see here. I used the image 'Scruff Gardening' which is available as a black and white digi here, or as a coloured digi here.

I made a shaped card using papers from the Horace and Boo Collection, the sentiment is from the same collection, you can search the collection here.

Chic but Shabby................

Hello!

Welcome to a new challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge and a new discount code for you to grab on the main challenge blog, where there is a fantastic discount today!

The easiest way to keep up with all things POLKADOODLES is sign up to the newsletter which you can do here.

This week the design team were asked to think of the theme 'Shabby Chic' - so I had to dig deep. I am not good at shabby chic, but thankfully for you, there are some amazingly shabby girls on our design team.............I jest of course.

I decided that the new collection of 'Ruby' was the best way to go (and I am not going to lie, easiest also).

I wanted to use 'Ruby Sweet', you can get her here as the black and white digi or as a precolured digi.

I made a 6x6 card using papers from the Lil Miss Sugarpops 1 Collection, which you can see here and here

I coloured Ruby with my copic markers:
Skin: E50, E51, E21
Hair: E25, E27, E29
Dress: RV11, RV32, V95

I added some lace and flowers as I am pretty sure that adding lace makes anything shabby chic. I also distressed the edges of my papers because I am also sure that this is a requirement to fit into the niche of shabby chic.

So there you have it, my take on shabby chic!

DO NOT FORGET to go back to that main blog GRAB your DISCOUNT CODE to get money off your digi purchases - this code only lasts until midnight Tuesday night UK time.

Thank you for popping past, head back to the main blog to see the rest of my chic teammates works of inspiration!

I have made an A5 gatefold card, because I wanted my little dude to be the main focus of this card.

I coloured my little dude with copic markers:
