Happy New Year - belated............

Hello

I coloured a gorgeous little Tiddly Inks Image on December 31st. I didn't have time to make her into a card at the time, so I have turned that around now and put her onto a card.

I of course am talking about 'Patriotic Wryn' which you can see here.

Look how cute this little girl is, I LOVE Wryn, she just makes me smile and is one of the few digi characters, where I just want to sit and colour her all day.

I made a simple 7x7 card with papers from Nitwit Collection. I added a wee bit of ribbon and a pretty paper flower for an embellishment.

I bought a lot of chip words from Zoe at Make It Crafty before Christmas, you can see the range here, I was desperate to get some of the Christmas greetings in chipboard.

As I am in the UK I did buy lots as I thought I may as well pay the VAT now in one go rather than in drips and drabs, so that is something to think about if you are outwith Australia and you want to get your hands on these.

I love these chipboard sentiments, you get a solid piece and then a lovely delicate script which sits on top. I only colour the script to make it stand out more. I like to use two pens to give some differentiation. The perfect thing about these sentiments is they are so lightweight, there is minimal weight added to your card - which is good to know if you are posting.

I take such terrible photos I don't think you can see the different pens BUT hopefully you can see how awesome these chipboard sentiments are!

Now you may wonder why I used 'Smile' when I could have or should have used 'celebrate' or 'hooray' etc. Well even though I have both these additional sentiments, I decided I wanted to go with 'Smile' because a new year means a new start and new possibilities so why shouldn't we smile?

Now my sweet cute gorgeous little Wryn is coloured with Copic Markers:

I used the following markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E31, R20
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Dress & Shoes: BV01, BV02, BV04, BV09

I wrote 2018 in pencil so I can adjust it if I wanted to. To be fair, now that it is 14 days after New Year I think I might and can always keep it for a congratulations card, or well done etc

This post went on for ages - sorry!

I hope you like her as much as I do!

Thanks for popping by, hope to see you soon.

Hugs
